Where are we?
On the corner of Hartley and Orielton Roads Smeaton Grange.
From what ages do we take children for lessons?
We start at six months and do up to adults.
What facilities do you have?
We have an 11m X 6m small pool heated at 31.5 degrees and this is used for the junior levels of our learn to swim program. The children progress to the 25m pool for the more advanced learn to swim classes and beyond. Both male and female change rooms are available with hot showers. The area around the pools has got heating facilities for the cooler days.
What recognition has the centre got?
The centre is a registered swim school with Swim Australia.
What are the operating hours for the Centre?
The centre is opened Monday to Friday from 5.30am to 7pm and Saturday from 5.30 to 12 noon.
What qualifications do the swim teachers have?
All the Instructors are Austswim trained and some hold the Disability License.
When do we hold our lessons?
Our lessons run parallel to the Public Education school term and can vary from nine to eleven weeks. We also conduct holiday programs for all levels depending on demand.
Do we allow make-ups if the children are sick?
Make-ups are allowed providing we have been given notice prior to the child's lesson and the make-ups must be taken in the term of the absence.
How do the children progress? Do they have to stay in the same level for the whole term?
Our classes are assessed during the second half of the term and the children can be promoted during the term.
Do we offer private lessons?
Yes we do and this can be arranged through our friendly staff when booking in.
Who else uses the centre?
We conduct swimming programs for the local schools and the Atlantis Swim club.
Is there kiosk and swim shop facilities?
Yes we do offer refreshments and all the necessary swim equipment and swim wear for all ages.
Is there parking available?
There is off street parking available.
